Extension of Renewals Policy for CTRC, Media and Model Libraries Materials

In response to users’ requests for longer loan periods of the Central Teaching Resources Collection (CTRC) and other 7-day loan materials, the Library is increasing the maximum number of renewals for all 7-day loan items from one to two, with effect from 1 September 2008.  All library materials, with the exception of 3-hour and 3-day loan Reserve materials, can therefore be renewed twice.  The increase in number of renewals will allow the borrowers to keep CTRC, Media or Model Libraries materials for a maximum of 21 days with two renewals, provided the items have not been requested by other users.  Since these items are usually either very popular or in heavy demand during practicum periods, the online request function ensures that all users can get hold of these items within a reasonable period of time.

For further enquiries on the Library’s loan and renewal policy, please contact our Circulation Counter at 2948-6658.
