2.1 What is Plagiarism?

According to Oxford English Disctionary (Online), plagiarism is:

"The action or practice of taking someone else's work, idea, etc., and passing it off as one's own; literary theft."

It is plagiarism when you

Copy words, sentences, or passages written by someone from the Web, a book, or an article without citing them

Paraphrase / summarize someone's words or ideas without citing them

Insert your own words into someone's work and pretend it's your original idea
