1. What is PIN (For External Members)?

PIN is a personal identification number to view circulation record and access to library services restricted to Library External Members (e.g. HKIEd Alumni, Spouse Members, School Teachers). It is confidential and personal to individual user. If you have forgotten your PIN, you are required to approach Circulation Counter in person for assistance.
Click here for more information about PIN.

2. Inter-campus Delivery

HKIEd students and staff can request circulating materials housed in the MMW Library be sent to the Town Centre Library for borrowing, or vice versa. Requests must be made via Library Website. A pickup notice will be sent to the requester when the item is ready for Collection. Click here to Request Inter-campus Delivery Service.

3. Returning Library Materials to MMW Library or Town Centre Library

Loans checked out from the MMW Library can be returned to the Town Centre Library, or vice versa. Special materials, such as media and teaching kits, must be returned to the appropriate counters of the Library.

4. Remote Access to Electronic Resources

Web Access Management (WAM) System allows authorized Library users to access our electronic resources, which are restricted for use by the Institute community, via non-HKIEd ISPs. Users will be prompted to enter their HKIEd Network Usernames and Password when they select the databases on the Library's website for authentication purpose. To comply with the licence requirements of the databases, remote access is only provided to students and staff of the Institute; and certain databases for Library alumni members only. All other Library External Members, e.g. self-funded course students, are excluded. In addition, not all electronic resources on the Library Website are available via the WAM due to particular licence restrictions.

5. Remote Access to EdVideo

Due to licence restriction, EdVideo is available on the HKIEd campus only. As Library has recorded all these programmes in DVD/ VCD formats, users may borrow these DVDs/ VCDs from Library Media Resources Section (4/F, MMW Library).
