Background
Since January 2005, the University has been entering into a Licence Agreement for paper copies of Course Packs production with the Hong Kong Reprographic Rights Licensing Society (HKRRLS). Starting from January 2013, one more Licence Agreement was signed for scan copies of Course Packs production. Under the two Licence Agreements, the University is granted a non-exclusive and non-transfer licence to make and use paper copies and scan copies of Licence materials for two years for preparation of hard copies and scan copies of Course Packs, subject to the terms and conditions as set out in the relevant Licence Agreements.

Starting from 1 January 2013, the Library takes up the production of Course Packs. The Library will serve as the copyright clearing house and will liaise with HKRRLS as well as relevant copyright agents and owners for copyright clearance of Course Packs.
