Apart from accessing the electronic resources through the ITS dial-up service, the Library's Web Access Management (WAM) System allows authorized Library users to access our electronic resources, which is restricted for use by the Institute community, via non-HKIEd ISPs. Users will be prompted to enter their HKIEd Network user names, and HKIEd Network paswords when they select the databases on the Library webpage for authentication purpose. To comply with the licence requirements of the databases, remote access is only provided to students and staff of the Institute. All Library External Members, e.g. self-funded non-credit bearing students, are excluded. Users are also reminded that not all electronic resources on the Library Website are available via WAM due to particular licence restrictions.
